Jose Alberto Medina Portillo  comes from an diverse profile, one that is filled with a deep sense of passion for creativity and skillful artistry which dates back since the early 1990s. He began he’s first indoctrination in the “arts” at The Arts Institute of Queretaro, also known as “CEDART” in the City of Santiago, Queretaro, Mexico from 1990- 1994. After he’s 2nd semester he decided to stick with Dance where he ended up specializing in “Folklore” from 3 regions of Mexico, then came Classical, and then finally Contemporary. It was soon clear to him that he’s true passion was for Choreography which led him to start offering he’s services to help organize productions for “Quinceñeras” or Sweet Sixteen Parties” It wasn’t long before Jose Albertos Medina was a name to consider if you were contemplating a sweet sixteen party or any type of choreography situated for a special occasion. Fast-forward to 1998, Alberto found himself graduating from a Technical academy for Beauty and Cosmetology in Mexico City. In 2018 Alberto finally obtained his Instructors License in Cosmetology from the ABC Beauty School from Indianapolis. These life accomplishments are the foundation for having established 3 successful businesses; “Betty Blue Dance”, “Betty Blue Salon”, and “Betty Blue Institute”.
